Payroll Tax Associate

The Payroll Tax Associate is a position for someone who enjoys working with numbers, can problem solve, communicate well in oral and written form, can multi-task and learn on the go.  Primary responsibilities would be in agency notice resolution, working with agencies and clients to resolve tax issues and amended returns, creating and filing corrected tax returns for our clients. The Payroll Tax Associate is also responsible for e-filing and remittance of all monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns in balance and on time.

What YOU will be doing: 

  • Researching agency notices
  • Processing payroll tax deposits
  • Processing client payroll tax transactions
  • Electronic ACH debit or payment processing, as needed
  • Amending tax forms
  • Routine internal auditing
  • Maintaining and balancing clients’ accounts using MasterTax software
  • Reconciling various banking transactions
  • Problem research and resolution
  • Assisting with daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax return processing

Success will come if you have: 

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field (strongly recommended)
  • Current or previous payroll or payroll tax experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Efficient and effective multi-tasking skills
  • Strong analytical and auditing skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work overtime when needed
  • Excellent time management skills
