Business Intelligence Analyst
PrimePay is looking for an experienced Payroll Business Analyst to assess the efficiency of existing payroll processes for deficiencies and introduce an improved system. You will achieve this by conducting thorough research to identify gaps, issues, and areas of improvement. Once you gain a thorough understanding of the processes, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams on the creation of new and improved payroll strategies.
A Payroll Business Analyst will be in charge of testing the suggested changes in practice and refining them where necessary. You will prepare operational control reports for senior management and partner with the HR and IT teams to implement new payroll management strategies and systems. It will be your duty to design standard operating procedures for employees to educate them on changes in the payroll business protocols and related practices.
Payroll Business Analyst Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research of the company’s payroll business processes to identify financial and operational risks
- Develop and implement new and improved payroll practices and processes that align with the overarching business goals and financial requirements
- Test new payroll management strategies and methods to check their efficiency
- Suggest improvements to payroll systems and audit procedures to enhance the efficiency of payroll and time-tracking systems
- Help the payroll team define application requirements by offering technical support on how to implement leading payroll strategies
- Evaluate current payroll and HCM processes to identify inefficiencies, compliance risks, and opportunities for automation.
- Assist with gathering and documenting business requirements for payroll and HCM processes.
Payroll Business Analyst Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
- Knowledge of business and process analysis functions
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, storytelling with data
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of Salesforce reporting and dashboards
